The
Tavern
As
the original portion of the Inn, the tavern has changed little
since the completion of the Erie Canal in the early 1800's.
Since
that time it has served as a Rail Station, General Store,
as well as a tavern. It has been said that more than just
a drink was available to the packet boaters and the men that
traded broken down horses.
The
Common Area amenities continue the tradition of anticipating
guest's comfort and enjoyment with a well stocked guest refrigerator
and other goodies. Today the traveler is invited to relax
or lounge on the porch facing the Erie Canal.
